Community Activities and Partnerships

Legal professionals have long been recognised for their pro bono work for charitable and not for profit organisations. At Flower and Hart we have taken our involvement and commitment to assistance to another level. We recognise that financial support is not the only way that corporate organisations can assist and are always keen to get our team involved in various hands on activities.

Flower and Hart are proud supporters of various charitable organisations and associations. Our staff are asked to offer ideas for becoming involved in the community through sponsorships, partnerships and donations and then how we can offer more than financial assistance. We believe it is about more than the dollars!

Our team has been involved in various activities throughout the year in support of the charitable association and the work that they do.

Cystic Fibrosis Queensland (CFQ)

In 2008 and 2009 we have focused on the support of Cystic Fibrosis Queensland (CFQ) by being the Major Partner of Hearts and Roses Day.

In 2009, Flower and Hart participated in CFQ's 'Go Red' fundraising challenge by holding a Red Wine Tasting for our clients and staff. We raised over $1,000. Special thanks to Stewarts Wine Co (www.stewartswineco.com.au) for donating the auction prize.

Cystic Fibrosis Queensland Ltd is a not-for-profit charitable organisation which provides counselling and support services to over 700 Queenslanders affected by cystic fibrosis and their families. This includes a range of services including: counselling, accommodation, respiratory equipment and education for those living with cystic fibrosis.

CFQ works closely with medical and allied health professional and hospitals to ensure the highest standards of support and services are provided to those with CF.

Open Minds is a not for profit and charitable organisation providing community based support services to persons with mental illness, intellectual disability or acquired brain injury. Their vision is for a community strengthened by inclusion, equality and respect for people with disability.
